By Léa Perret, Best Young Cavist of France 2022

As a little ritual at the start of the new year, I love to look back at the wines that have marked my year. Wine is a constantly evolving world, present all around the globe, which means you never get bored when it comes to tasting! It's also a great way to relive shared moments and bring back fond memories.

Timeless classics:

Every year, I also like to re-drink the great wines that have given me real emotions and continue to do so. This year's 3 winners are :

- Château Margaux 1997

- Henriot, Cuvée "Hemera" 2006

- Bollinger, La Côte aux Enfants 2015

Great discoveries in France:

These are the wines I didn't know or aspired to taste, and which left me with a lovely memory thanks to their precise and fair profile. I can only recommend that you try them and make up your own mind!

- Gérard Bertrand, Villa Solleila, Vin orange (Languedoc-Roussillon)

- Domaine Trapet, Riesling, Magnum (Alsace)

- Domaine de la Mordorée, Reine des bois, Tavel (Rhône Valley)

- Chateau de Roquefort, Les Genets, Côtes de Provence, 100% Rolle (Provence)

- Yves Duport, L'intact, Vin de France Pétillant Naturel Rosé (Bugey)

This retrospective of the wines that have marked my yeartestifies to the diversity and richness of the wine world. From unexpected discoveries to timeless classics, each bottle has contributed to enriching my tasting and sharing moments.

To fully enjoy these memorable wines, it's essential to taste them at the right temperature. Each type of wine has its own ideal tasting temperature, from fresh whites to full-bodied reds. Make sure you store your bottles in the right conditions to maintain this temperature. If you're looking for a quality storage solution for your precious flasks, I recommend that you discover the service wine cellars from La Sommelière, a benchmark in wine preservation and temperature control.
